Thistledew Farm offers quality honey, beeswax, bee products and services. Our wildflower honeys include raw unfiltered, creamed, comb, flavored, nuts, mustards and vinegars. Pure beeswax candles, ornaments, skin and lip creams are all handmade by caring folks. We also offer bee shows and educational tours. We invite you to visit our gift shop on the foothills of Appalachia near the Ohio River. Taste some fresh comb honey and learn how it is made. We are just 40 miles south of Wheeling, WV; follow WV Rt. 2 south to Proctor & take WV Rt. 89 (Proctor Creek Rd) east 8 miles to our shop.

History of Thistledew Farm
In 1974, Ellie and Steve Conlon left suburban Philadelphia with one son, two dogs, one cat and two beehives. We were ready to begin a new life in West Virginia! We started several agricultural enterprises and were foster parents. Our Quaker beliefs, especially "...that of God in everyone and everything...," help us in our lives and business. Out of that beginning, grew Thistledew Farm. Now, we have four sons, three dogs, four cats, 700 beehives, beeswax candles, beeswax skin and lip cream, honey mustard, bee beards, pollination and a honey of a gift shop! Beekeeping is not only environmentally friendly, it is also a unique, creative and challenging family agricultural endeavor. Our goal is to offer their customers high-quality products at a reasonable cost. We think the 'proof is in the pudding/HONEY!' ThistleDew Farm and our employees are very serious about 'Fine Gifts from the Honeybee and West Virginia.
